This bustling bistro at the Marina Port La Royale is busy all day long, thanks to a varied menu, (relatively) reasonable prices, and friendly staff. Salads are a must for lunch, especially the salad Niçoise with medallions of crusted goat cheese. Dinner includes some exceptional steak and seafood dishes. The wine list is quite extensive. Desserts are tasty, and you'll never be disappointed with old standbys like the crème brûlée. You can dine outside or inside along the yacht-filled waterfront, which is busy with shoppers during the day.

Perfect or a relaxing lunch on the prety port

I live on the French side of the island, and we are really completely spoiled for choice of excellent restaurants, but whenever I am in Marigot at lunchtime I head for Tropicana, partly because I love the beef tartare (only available at lunchtime), and the deserts are super and beautifully presented. The proprietors and staff are charming, the food is excellent, and the prices are 'par for the course' on Marina Royale. If the weather is nice (as it usually is) try to get a table outside - reservations are recommended. Don't miss it.
