Fodor's Review

St. Maarten's adults-only all-inclusive is well positioned even if it doesn't offer the height of luxury: away from the docks that are usually crawling with cruise ships, but only a 10-minute walk from downtown Philipsburg. The day-long activity schedule and no-limit food and bar policy are attractive, but like many properties of the same caliber, very necessary renovations continue. Although rooms have been redecorated in a Caribbean style, the common areas are dated and bland. There is a wide choice of rooms, including some with butler service and one- and two-bedroom suites with kitchens; all have terraces with fine views on the beachfront side. Rooms on the first floor are esssentially underground—get one on an upper floor facing the ocean.
