Boat and Ferry Travel

When cruise ships are in port in Castries, a water taxi shuttles back and forth between Pointe Seraphine (on the north side of the harbor) and La Place Carenage (on the south side) for $3 per person each way. The L’Express des Iles ferry travels between St. Lucia and Martinique, Dominica, and Guadeloupe. A number of water taxi companies provide service and tours to (and from) locations along the western coast of the island, including Pigeon Island, Rodney Bay, Vigie Marina (Castries), Castries Harbour, Marigot Bay, Anse Cochon, Anse Chastanet, and Soufrière. Tours can be customized or customary, private or with others, and may focus on snorkeling, sightseeing, or simply the sunset. All of the companies offer similar service/tours and will arrange to meet their customers at any coastal location.
