Boat and Ferry in St. Lucia

Boat and Ferry

More Travel Tips »

Cruise ships from major lines call at Castries and sometimes off Soufrière. At Port Castries, ships tie up at berths right in town and are convenient to duty-free shops, the market, and transportation for sightseeing excursions. When cruise ships are in port, a water taxi shuttles back and forth between Pointe Seraphine on the north side of the harbor and Place Carenage on the south side of the harbor for $1 per person each way. In Soufrière, ships anchor offshore, and passengers are transferred ashore by tenders.

For visitors arriving at Rodney Bay on their own or chartered yachts, Rodney Bay Marina is an official port of entry for customs and immigration purposes. A ferry travels between the marina and the shopping complex daily on the hour, from 9 to 4, for $4 per person round-trip.
