Cruise ships from major lines call at Castries and Soufrière. At Port Castries, ships tie up at berths right in town and are convenient to duty-free shops, the market, and transportation for sightseeing excursions. When cruise ships are in port, a water taxi shuttles back and forth between Pointe Seraphine on the north side of the harbor and Place Carenage on the south side of the harbor for $1 per person each way. In Soufrière, ships anchor offshore, and passengers are transferred ashore by tenders.
For visitors arriving at Rodney Bay on their own or chartered yachts, a ferry travels between the marina and the shopping complex daily on the hour, from 9 to 4, for $4 per person round-trip.
