Marigot Bay Review

This is one of the prettiest natural harbors in the Caribbean. In 1778, British admiral Samuel Barrington sailed into this secluded bay-within-a-bay and, the story goes, covered his ships with palm fronds to hide them from the French. Today this small community is a favorite anchorage for boaters and a peaceful destination for landlubbers. Discovery at Marigot Bay —a luxury resort, marina, and marina village with restaurants, bars, grocery store, bakery, and boutiques—has revitalized the area without marring the beauty or the ecology of Marigot Bay. A 24-hour ferry ($2 round-trip) connects the bay's two shores—a voyage that takes about a minute each way.
