Unpretentious and welcoming, this delightful little inn on Soufrière Harbour has rooms in small seaside cabins. Rooms are simply furnished—a primitive motif emphasized by African wood sculptures. Most rooms have modern baths; two rooms and a suite share a bath. A two-bedroom country cottage—with a sitting room, kitchenette, and spectacular Piton view—is suitable for a family or two couples vacationing together. The Hummingbird's Lifeline Restaurant is a favorite for locals. Pros: local island atmosphere; small and quiet; good food. Cons: beach is not great; a "resort" without many resort amenities.
