Fodor's Review

At this adults-only spa resort on picturesque Cariblue Beach—where daily treatments are included in the rates—you can customize your own "body holiday" online even before you leave home. Once there, indulge in aromatherapy, a dozen different types of massage, Ayurvedic treatments, wraps, yoga, and personal-trainer services at the splendid, Alhambra-style Wellness Centre complete with reflecting pool. Otherwise, enjoy the beach, scuba diving, golf (next door at the St. Lucia Golf Resort & Country Club; no greens fees for resort guests), and other sports. Professional instruction and a personal trainer are all included in the rates. Rooms have marble floors and king-size four-poster or twin beds. The food is excellent at Cariblue (the main dining room), the Clubhouse casual buffet restaurant, The Deli, and top-of-the-line Tao. Enjoy nightly entertainment at the beachside lounge. Special rates are available for single guests.

You would have to be a good sport to think The Body Holiday deserved a place in Fodor's picks

The setting is lovely and the atmosphere can be as sedate and relaxing or as activity filled as you wish. Unfortunately that's not enough to override the average tired looking rooms or the tragically mediocre food (getting a dinner reservation at Tao was impossible) and while the all inclusive factor is convenient, it does not justify the sacrifice for quantity over quality. Kudos for the overall aesthetics of Oasis Spa, but the quality of the

inclusive spa services was abysmal, so I did not add on additional spa services as was my original intention. For the most part, this property has a accommodating and friendly staff and the facilities are clean and in good working order but it's a far cry from being a above average destination resort.

The BodyHoliday at LeSPORT is HEAVEN on EARTH!

Wow! We just arrived back from Christmas and New Year at LeSPORT and it was probably the best time we've ever had. I've read the comments of the other users and it is true that there are one or two little hitches - things that could do with improvement. The mosquitoes are a little bothersome at certain times of the year, but St Lucia is in the Caribbean! It's not a Manhattan appartment. It's a gem of a place set in the most beautiful of coves on a

tropical island. When the service of the staff is dedicated and professional and the experience is one of tranquility, relaxation, contemplation and gastronomic indulgence then I can handle a mosquito bite. My wife and I had the most amazing time. We met so many people just like us and although we were meant to be detoxing, we actually spent a lot of time in the sumptuous piano bar with our new friends. We are all going back at the end of this year. See you there!

American's Beware!

My sister and I stayed here back in late October 2000 to celebrate my 40th birthday. The resort itself was wonderful as was the food. You can eat healthy or enjoy the island cuisine. Our spa treatments where already booked ahead for us. If you want to make sure you get a certain treatment, you better book ahead before you arrive. The spa staff was so-so, mostly the young people from the island trying to provide a "professional service". However, the

ENTIRE staff their completely ignored us with the exception of our maid service. She was extremely pleasant as were the ladies at the bar. Not once were we acknowledged as guests as we walked the grounds of the hotel or any where else. Most if not all of their attention went to the European guest. For me, its the service that you get that can make or break a vacation. I wouldn't return only because of the lack of attention/acknowledgement that we received. And believe me, it was pretty obvious. I did complain to the hotel management upon departure that American's require and demand the same level of service as the Europeans!
