Stonefield Estate Villa Resort & Spa Review

One 18th-century plantation house and several gingerbread-style cottages dot this 26-acre family-owned estate, a tropical hillside with eye-popping views of Petit Piton. All accommodations have oversize, handcrafted furniture and one or two bathrooms; some also have their own garden showers, and each has its own secluded plunge pool. Villas have one, two, or three bedrooms; Chez Anista, a five-bedroom luxury villa with its own large infinity pool, private cook and service staff, can accommodate up to 10 guests. Living-dining rooms open onto verandahs with double hammocks and panoramic views, perfectly romantic at sunset. Although there are no room phones, you are given a cell phone to use during your stay. Above the Red Door spa is a studio equipped with tatami mats for yoga and martial arts. The Mango Tree Restaurant serves meals with a view. A complimentary shuttle goes to Soufrière or to the beach at Anse des Pitons. The minimum stay in the winter season is three nights.
