The high season runs from mid-December through mid-April; outside of this period, hotel rates can be significantly cheaper.

In April, the St. Lucia Golf Open is an amateur tournament at the St. Lucia Golf Club in Cap Estate.

The St. Lucia Jazz Festival in early May is the year's big event; during that week, you may have trouble finding a hotel room at any price.

St. Lucia's summer Carnival is held in Castries beginning in late June and continuing into July.

The St. Lucia Billfishing Tournament is in late September or early October, attracting anglers from far and wide.

October is Creole Heritage Month, which culminates in Jounen Kwéyòl Entenasyonnal (International Creole Day) on the last Sunday of the month.

In late November or early December, the finish of the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers, the world's largest ocean-crossing race, is marked by a week of festivities in Rodney Bay.
