Getting to St. Lucia: The primary international airport is Hewanorra International Airport (UVF), on the island's southern tip. American Airlines/American Eagle (via San Juan) and regional airlines fly into George F. L. Charles Airport (SLU) in Castries, which is convenient to resorts in the Castries or Rodney Bay areas. Therefore, a connecting flight could be to your advantage, as the drive between Hewanorra and resorts in the north takes 90 minutes; happily, the trip between Hewanorra and Soufrière now takes only 30 minutes.

Hassle Factor: Medium to medium-high, because of the long drive from Hewanorra International Airport.

Nonstops: Nonstop flights from the U.S. fly to Hewanorra, but none from the U.S. fly to Castries, which is available only to prop aircraft.
