This lush, tropical courtyard restaurant replete with tinkling fountain was hand-built by the original owners. Banana trees, bougainvillea, and bamboo—filled with a virtual orchestra of chirping tree frogs—grow everywhere. Selections depend on what's fresh and chef Michelle Mestier's mood: most popular are the barbecue ribs, and specialties such as herb-crusted rack of lamb or ginger chicken. Lunch items are well priced and include scrumptious niçoise salad, coconut-fried shrimp, and mango-chicken curry crepe. Tapas are also on tap some evenings. Homemade desserts are not for the calorie- and cholesterol-conscious. Try the house drink, Stone Against the Wall, concocted from Cavalier rum, amaretto, coconut rum, triple sec, pineapple and orange juices, and grenadine.

If I could, I'd leave 5 stars for the fabulous Stone Walls food and friendliness. We came to St. Kitts looking for a real Caribbean get away - the sun and sand were to die for...but the food at Stone Walls stole the show! Shrimp Crepes are to die for and the restaurant is run by the delightful Kittian family - the Mestiers. Ambience is perfect and the crowd eclectic. Apparently only the in crowd knows about it so make sure you grab a taxi that knows how to get there. Go. There. Now.
