The scent of citrus from wild trees still fragrances the air at this former lime plantation, a hilltop aerie that strives to blend the intimacy and warmth of a Nevisian inn with the amenities of a contemporary resort. The most recent renovation lightened and brightened the decor. Upscale touches include granite counters, Italian-tile baths, and DVD players; upper floor rooms also have marvelous sloped hardwood cathedral ceilings. Standard rooms can be combined with superior suites (whose sofa beds make them good family buys). There's a well-equipped business center and a gym with inspiring water views. Luxuriate in a poolside hammock, catch the free shuttle to the beach club, or take an invigorating hike to the ruins of Thomas Cottle Church, an unusual historic site.
