Logistics

Getting to St. Kitts and Nevis: Many travelers connect in Antigua, San Juan, St. Maarten, or St. Thomas. When going to Nevis, it's almost always cheaper to fly into St. Kitts and then take a sea taxi or regularly scheduled ferry to Nevis, but check the schedules or book your sea taxi in advance; a water taxi costs between $20 and $25 one-way per person, and can take as long as 45 minutes. Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport on St. Kitts (SKB) and the smaller, simpler Vance W. Armory International Airport on Nevis (NEV), are still fairly sleepy.

Hassle Factor: Low to medium for St. Kitts, medium for Nevis.

Nonstops: There are nonstop flights to St. Kitts from Atlanta (Delta), Charlotte (US Airways), Miami (American), and New York-JFK (American). There are no nonstop flights from the U.S. to Nevis.
