Tipping in St. Barthélemy

Restaurants include a 15% service charge in their published prices, but it's common French practice to leave 5% to 10% pourboire (a tip; literally, "for a drink")—in cash, even if you have paid by credit card. When your credit-card receipt is presented to be signed, the tip space should be blank—just draw a line through it—or you could end up paying a 30% service charge. Tip massage therapists at spas or hotels 10%; additional gratuity for services you arrange to your hotel or villa are at your discretion, but always appreciated.
