Taxes and Service Charges
The island charges a $5 departure tax when your next stop is another French island, $10 if you're off to anywhere else. This is payable in cash only, dollars or euros, at the airport. At this writing, some hotels added an additional 10% service charge to bills, though most include it in their tariffs. There is a 10% room tax on hotels and villa rentals.
