Voltage is 220 AC/60 cycles, as in Europe. You can sometimes use American appliances with French plug converters and transformers. Most hotel rooms are conveniently supplied with hair dryers, and most have a shaver plug in the bathroom into which you can plug various rechargeables. Hotels will lend you a converter plug, but it is not advisable to use it with hair dryers. Most hotel rooms and villas will have hairdryers for your use.
