Emeraude Plage Review

Right on the beach of Baie de St-Jean, this petite resort consists of small but immaculate bungalows and villas with modern, fully equipped outdoor kitchenettes on small patios; nice bathrooms add to the comfort. The beach bungalows were renovated in a modern, clean, white-and-brown color scheme that has become the St. Barth "look"; now there are white flat-screen TVs, iPod docks, and, on the patios, new white kitchens. A new beach pavilion serves light fare at breakfast, lunch, and cocktails until 7 pm. The complex is convenient to nearby restaurants and shops. The beachfront two-bedroom villas, one of which has a private Jacuzzi on the deck, are something of a bargain, especially off-season; one of them is wheelchair-accessible.

We have been going to St. Barts for 10 years and will never stay anywhere but Emeraude Plague. The rooms are great- the staff tremendous. We are leaving for another week in Paradise and will be staying in Bungalow E
