Hotel La Banane Review
A young vibe and a sociable attitude attract chic visitors to the nine smallish pavilion rooms with Euro-style contemporary furnishings, white-draped four-poster beds, and pale aqua walls. Spacious, stylish baths have open showers with waterfall showerheads, pretty turquoise glass-tile walls, and Aqua de Parma toiletries. Each room is named after an iconic French design luminary such as Pierre Jeanneret or Jean Prouvé and has a small front porch with a banquette, but guests gather around the central pool with fun sun beds and whimsical white café tables to try specialties from the lounge bar in the shade. A nice touch is a library with books and lots of DVDs. The hotel's location behind a small shopping center may be construed as either a bother or a convenience, but Lorient Beach is a two-minute walk away. Breakfast is served around the palm-shaded pool. The spa services come to your room. K'fe Massaï, the African-themed restaurant, is very popular.
