Hôtel Le Toiny Review

When perfection is more important than price, choose Le Toiny's romantic villas with mahogany furniture and divine white linens with crisp, colorful, striped accents, all new in 2008. New management has rejuvenated the venerable enclave, with an eye on sustainability. They've added a water-treatment plant, organic cleaning products, and moves toward using solar energy. Each of the spacious suites has a heated private pool. Privacy and serenity are the mission here, but charming and caring service makes all the guests feel like celebrities. Rooms have every convenience of home, including lush bathrooms and fully equipped kitchenettes. High-tech amenities include several flat-screen LCD TVs, stereos, iPod docks, fax machines, espresso makers, and Bang & Olufsen phones. Each suite has an outdoor shower, a patio hammock, and heated private pool. Breakfast is brought to your terrace each morning, and there is free laundry service. Spa services can be provided in your villa, or you can wander over to the new spa cottage. If ever you want to leave your villa, Sunday brunch and haute cuisine can be had at the alfresco Le Gaïac restaurant, one of the very best on the island, which overlooks the Italian-tile pool. New owners added a walking trail to a small private beach, but you really can't swim in the rough water there. There is a small but state-of-the art fitness center. Two of the villas are wheelchair accessible. Low-season discounts can make a honeymoon here affordable, and the Romance packages include great extras such as the use of a convertible Mini Cooper and a half day with a professional photographer to document your special trip.
