Le Sereno Review

A St. Barth classic on a beautiful stretch of beach was reborn as a sexy, ultrachic retreat in 2005 (designed by Parisian architect Christian Liaigre). Cutting-edge modern decor and techno amenities create a spare but luxurious, Zen-like serenity. The suites are huge by St. Barth standards, and have spacious living areas and private sundecks. Large bathrooms, some with "steeping tubs," have roomy showers and vessel sinks of solid black granite. Other perks include cloud-soft linens and robes from Porthault, Parisian Ex Voto toiletries, high-speed Internet, plasma TVs, and iPod docks (for your own device or their fully loaded ones to borrow). Bedlike poolside lounges for two set the romantic tone for the hip all-day party. Check the Web site for good packages in off-season.
