Fodor's Review

Tucked into a tropical garden, this popular restaurant, also known as Pipiri Palace, is famous for its barbecued ribs, beef fillet, and rack of lamb. Lunch brings omelets, kabobs, and croque monsieur. For dinner, fish-market specialties like curried red snapper cooked in a banana leaf and grilled tuna are good, as are grilled duck with mushroom sauce and a skewered surf-and-turf with green curry sauce. The blackboard's daily specials, like St. Marcellin cheese roasted in a crock of honey, are usually a great choice, and the island's best tarte Tatin is made with salted caramel.
