St. Barthelemy Restaurants

Dõ Brazil

Fodor's Review

Right on Gustavia's Shell Beach, this restaurant is open every day for lunch and dinner and offers live music for sundown cocktail hour on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, as well as top DJs spinning the latest club mixes for evening events, which are listed in the local papers. You'll find tasty light fare like chilled soups, fruit-garnished salads with tuna, shrimp, and chicken, plus sandwiches, burgers, pastas, and grilled fresh fish for lunch. Everyone loves

the Dõ Brazil hot pot: Mahi-mahi, shrimp, and sea scallops in a sauce of lemongrass and coconut milk. The extensive cocktail menu tempts, but at €12 each, your bar bill can quickly exceed the price of dinner. There is a €10 children's menu.

Spend the day here...

Do Brazil was recently featured in a Conde Nast Traveler article as one of the best beach-front restaurants in the Caribbean. While the food isnt spectacular, it is a great place to spend the day. It is on Shell Beach, which is right in Gustavia and is fast becoming a great swimming beach. The only thing on Shell Beach is Do Brazil, which is a completely open building. Have lunch upstairs, then go down to lie on the bed on the beach and order

drinks from the adjacent bar. Watch the locals cliff-dive and the luxury yachts anchor for lunch.
