Fodor's Review

The exceptional fare here draws as many people as the entertaining atmosphere. Eccentric co-owner Tricia Chammaa livens things up with jokes and brassy banter while her husband, Michael, toils in the kitchen. The result is a great experience. Brigadoon's glass-top tables are accented with Caribbean-style runners and string lights. Specialties include Chowder Michael, Shrimp Michael (a pasta dish that includes mushrooms and olives), and an encrusted, lightly seared yellowfin tuna served on a salad. Thursday is prime rib night, but you must preorder before 3 pm. As for desserts, the cheesecake—in a variety of flavors—and the peanut-butter pie are standouts. Also worth a try: Madagascar vanilla bean–ginger rum, made in-house (as are all the ice creams).
