Fodor's Review

Everything about this romantic mini-resort reflects Saba, from the quaint stone stairway that winds past the island's largest pool to the patio in front of the main building, which houses the Queen's Garden Restaurant, serving fresh island fare. At night, tiki torches flicker and dense foliage gives everything an air of intimacy on the lush cliffside some 1,200 feet above sea level. That's if you can bear to leave your room: all 12 suites, perched high on the property, are dreamily decorated with Dutch colonial and Indonesian furnishings and four-poster beds. Be sure to request one of the nine hot-tub suites that open up to panoramic vistas of the village below. There's also a view-tastic bar and lounge; activities like yoga and cooking classes; and the charming new Frangipani Spa, offering a variety of therapies. Scuba and island exploration an be arranged.
