Getting Oriented

Tiny Saba—an extinct volcano that juts out of the ocean to a height of 2,855 feet—is just 5 square mi (13 square km) in size and has a population of about 1,500. One of the Netherlands Antilles, it's 28 mi (45 km) south of St. Maarten and surrounded by some of the richest dive sites in the Caribbean.
