After spending years in the kitchen of the popular hangout Mamacita's, chef Zach Sizer decided to open his own joint, a no-frills taco spot delivering fresh, flavorful, affordable grub. Good thing he did; Zaco's Tacos is a runaway success. Arched ceilings are painted in bright primary colors, lending a warm, festive feel to the cozy space. An outdoor wood terrace in the back offers open-air dining and Sunday brunch, though most just prefer to order some delicious beer-battered
fish, carnitas (pork), or seared tuna tacos at the bar. For the adventurous, pork belly, cow, and tongue tacos are on the menu, as well as heartier burritos. Refresh with a light hibiscus tea, or a more obvious indulgence—one of the many tequila-saturated margaritas.
