The best of a string of inexpensive guesthouses along the main road in Esperanza, this place has an unbeatable location across from the Malecon, or waterfront promenade. For more than 20 years, owners Janet and Harry have infused the place with an easy-going vibe for a high visitor return rate. A lively bar popular with expats and known for daily happy hour is located off the excellent restaurant, which serves killer conch fritters and Sunday night paella. Looking to go off-site? A number of bars and restaurants are only a stone's throw away on bustling Calle Flamboyán. Rooms are basic but have funky touches like wall murals. They share several terraces, all of which overlook the ocean.
