Parking

If you can't avoid taking a car into Old San Juan, park at La Puntilla, at the head of Paseo de la Princesa. It's an outdoor lot with the Old City's cheapest rates (they start at 50¢ an hour). You could also try the Felisa Rincón de Gautier lot on Calle Gilberto Concepción de Gracia or the Frank Santaella lot between Paseo de Covadonga and Calle Gilberto Concepción de Gracia. Parking starts at around $1 or so for the first hour. Many lots open early and close late; some are even open 24 hours a day, like the Felisa Rincón parking garage, known as "Doña Fela" to locals.
