Fodor's Review

Celebrity chef and Puerto Rico native Wilo Benet's flagship restaurant makes the most of its elegant surroundings at the Conrad San Juan Condado Plaza hotel. Works from local artists line the walls, and the atmosphere is formal but never hushed. The menu offers a twist on traditional Puerto Rican classics as well as more international flavors. Choose from the thoughtfully crafted tasting menu or order à la carte. There is a large selection of starters; particularly good

are the pork belly sliders, the spicy tuna on crispy rice (known here as pegao), and the foie gras with ripe plantains and black truffle honey. For main courses, options include succulent petit duck magret with crimini mushrooms and a raspberry vinegar gastrique and North Atlantic swordfish in a pigeon pea escabeche with a ripe plantain emulsion. Don't be surprised if Benet himself stops by your table to make sure everything is just to your liking.

Pikayo Review

The food was excellent, my wife love a good excerpt and it just happens to be one of their signature dishes, I go anywhere for a good foie gras, theirs was great. My wife will only eats fish that's really great, and she thought the fish was outstanding. Everything including the deserts were first class. The service was top notch, we did not have reservations and restaurant was booked so we took a tall table near the bar, but the service from the

servers, sommelier, etc were all cheerful and helpful. Chef Bennett came to my wife and me and talk for a bit, adding a nice personal touch to the experience. The atmosphere and ambiance was just go relaxing yet fun, we thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening. Defiantly somewhere we would go again.

Get the Souffle

Appetizers were good (lobster roll), but 2 for $12? Come on. I had the lamb chops, my g/f had the steak, both were very good. The place itself is beauiful, and you are served by a barrage of waiters who are very attentive. But you must order the chocolate souffle for dessert (1 is rich enough for 2)...yummy!
