Fodor's Expert Review Pikayo
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
Celebrity chef and Puerto Rico native Wilo Benet's flagship restaurant makes the most of its elegant surroundings at the Condado Plaza Hilton. The menu offers a new twist on Puerto Rican classics, as well as more international flavors. Choose from the thoughtfully crafted tasting menu or order à la carte. Of the large selection of starters, the pork-belly sliders, spicy tuna on crispy rice (known as pegao), and foie gras with ripe plantains and black truffle honey are particularly good. Main course options include succulent petit duck breast with cremini mushrooms and a raspberry vinegar gastrique and North Atlantic swordfish in a pigeon-pea escabeche with a ripe plantain emulsion. Don't be surprised if Benet stops by to make sure everything is to your liking.
