It's clear when you walk through the delicately etched glass doors that this place has a split personality. To the left is a sedate little sushi bar where you place your order by checking off items on the menu. (We liked the spicy crab and avocado roll, but people at the next table seemed happy with their salmon skin roll.) To the right is a more boisterous dining room where the seating is arranged around teppanyaki tables. Chefs wearing tall red hats add drama to your
meal, tossing knives and dodging flames as they prepare such dishes as sautéed scallops in ginger sauce or the popular Sunday special, filet mignon with chicken and shrimp. You can also order from the small but tasty Chinese menu; options include beef stir-fried with scallions and roast duck in savory spices. Wash everything down with a Sapporo beer or a fruity specialty cocktail.
