Rincón Tropical
Rincón Tropical Review
Don't be scared off by the cheap plastic tables and chairs. What you should notice is that they are almost always full of locals enjoying the area's freshest seafood. The kitchen keeps it simple, preparing dishes with the lightest touch. Highlights include mahi mahi with onions and peppers as well as fried red snapper with rice and beans. Fried plantains make a nice accompaniment to almost anything. Stop by weekdays for the $5 lunch special.

We sought out Rincon Tropical after reading the rave reviews posted by your editors. You cannot imagine our disappointment when our meals turned out to not only be awful, but simply inedible. I was so afraid that the mahi and conch would make us sick, we paid our bill and left without eating. It was one of the worst meals I have had. Someone from Fodor's ought to revisit this establishment and/or update your website so others won't waste their vacation dollars or worst, get food poisoning.
