Fodor's Review

Set right on the beach, La Copa Llena is the newest restaurant to open its doors at The Black Eagle, an iconic property dating back to 1969. For decades, the location has drawn patrons from all over the island for its spectacular sunsets. Today the sunsets seen from the outdoor terrace are just as beautiful as they were in the '70s, and the cuisine, a mixture of French, Spanish, Southwest, and Mediterranean, is well executed. Brendan Basham, former chef of The Tapas Bar, maintains strict standards of quality, so the menu might change, depending on availability of ingredients. Start with the smaller plates like the chorizo and manchego on toasted baguette or the char-grilled octopus. Move on to the coconut steamed mussels or the fried snapper with sweet papaya salsa. We also tried the BLT on artisan brioche and it was, hands down, one of the best we've ever had. Must have been the house-cured Berkshire pork belly. Don't miss happy hour from 3 to 7. Brunch is served on Sunday.
