Fodor's Review:
This perennial favorite sits right on Sandy Beach, where the waves are big, but not too big for novice surfers. The tropical-themed rooms -- ranging from studios to two-bedroom apartments with full kitchens -- have some charmingly kitschy touches like murals of palm trees. These can't compare to the real thing, which you can see from your balcony. Downstairs, the popular bar and grill Tamboo is a good place to dine. Whales can sometimes be spotted from the sun deck.
