Overshadowing neighbors with more prestigious names, the coral-colored Embassy Suites is one of the prettiest hotels in Isla Verde. The glass elevators that whisk you up to your room overlook the plant-filled atrium that includes a pond and waterfall. Outside is a lagoon-style pool and an adjacent bar. The suites are not luxurious, but they are spacious enough for a family. The location -- just 1 mi from the airport -- makes the hotel popular with people traveling for business. The one drawback is that while the beach is nearby, you have to cross some busy streets to get to it.

A truly great value. When you add in the breakfast and the nightly reception (try the rum island)...this is an outstanding value. The hotel is clean, the service was very good, the personnel were very friendly and helpful, with lots of ideas. Your are only a couple of blocks from the beach and within walking distance of many nice places to eat. You are a block from a bus stop which will take you to old San Juan for only 75cents per person. We rented a car at (Dollar) in the Holiday Inn next door and drove to the Rain Forest---what a great day.
Yes you can find more luxurious hotel accomodations, but save the money here and spend the difference on fancier lunches/dinners and excurisons.
