The 13 acres of this park were used more than 800 years ago by the Taíno tribes for worship and recreation, including a game—thought to have religious significance—that resembles modern-day soccer. Today you can see 10 bateyes (courtyards) of various sizes, large stone monoliths (some with petroglyphs), and re-creations of Taíno gardens.
