Hotel Bélgica Review

Near the central square, this hotel dating from 1872 is both comfortable and economical, with worn yet clean rooms with hardwood floors, high ceilings, and wrought-iron beds. Those on the front of the building have balconies with wooden-shutter doors. The rooms vary widely in size (No. 19 is one of the largest, and has the best view), and some windows open onto an air shaft, so ask to see a few before you decide. The hotel has no restaurant, but it offers a continental breakfast and there are plenty of dining options in the neighborhood.

    Most You Should Spend in Ponce

    This hotel is the only place I would recommend in Ponce. It doesn't have many ammenities, but you don't need that here. If you prefer more ammenities, definitely don't go to Ponce. Its not a very nice place. It was our last stop after a week in PR and most definitely our least enjoyable. The hotel has beatiful marble interiors with fantastic Spanish doors to the balconies. While you're on the balcony, you can enjoy the sirens, blaring music from people "cruising" (because there is absolutely nothing else to do there), and people yelling. I rated the hotel well for what it is, but Ponce is a 1!
