El Yunque Packing
When you come to El Yunque, bring binoculars, a camera with a zoom lens, bottled water, and sunscreen; wear a hat or visor, good walking shoes, and comfortable clothes. Although daytime temperatures rise as high as 80°F (27°C), wear long pants, because some plants can cause skin irritations. There are no poisonous snakes in the forest (or on the island as a whole), but bugs can be ferocious, so a strong repellent is a must. And remember: This is a rain forest, so be prepared for frequent showers.
