Many of its neighbors serve fried Puerto Rican fare, but Crispy y Relleno elevates the scene with modern takes on classic dishes. Don't miss specialties like the shrimp in coconut and ginger sauce, plaintain crusted fish, or the braised beef served over a yuca mash. Local ceviches are fresh and flavorful, while arepas and mofongos round out the offerings. The restaurant is set a bit farther away from the chaos that can engulf Route 187's many eateries on the party-heavy weekends, and if you book in advance Chef Fernando Parrilla can create a nine-course tasting menu that will blow you away.
