Fajardo Inn Review

The peach-colored buildings that make up this hilltop hotel offer lovely views of the islands poking out of the Atlantic Ocean. A bit closer is the pool lined with shimmering aquamarine tiles, surrounded by gardens filled with wild ginger and other colorful plants. All rooms have simple furnishings and white-tile floors; some have balconies that let you enjoy the sunrise. Two restaurants, Starfish and Blue Iguana, can be found on-site, as can a basketball court, a beauty salon, and mini-golf for the kids. The closest beach—a five-minute drive—is the public Balneario Seven Seas, a favorite of local and tourists alike.

    I saw more insects in Fajardo Inn's room than the famous Puerto Rico rainforest.

    The idea of the Fajardo Inn was to create a lush (and affordable) lodge to make you forget the rat race. The rooms are spacious and inviting. The staff is typical Criollos, full of warmth, smiles, and embracing hospitality. This is truly a great place to shed your corporate stress and enjoy the indigenous plant life, pristine grounds/pools and two highly regarded restaurants. The Inn is the perfect location if one wants to visit El Yunque, Vieques, Culebra, Bioluminescent Bay, and Luquillo Beach in one week.
