Chez Daniel

Chez Daniel Review

When the stars are out, it would be hard to find a more romantic setting than this waterfront eatery in the Anchor's Village Marina. Dozens of gleaming white boats are anchored so close that you could practically hit them with a baguette. The dining room has a chummy atmosphere, probably because many patrons seem to know each other. If you'd prefer alone time, ask for a table on one of the private terraces. Chef Daniel Vasse's French-country-style dishes are some of the best on the island. The exceptional Marseille-style bouillabaisse is full of fresh fish and bursts with the flavor of a white garlic sauce. Something less French, you say? Choose steak or fish simply prepared on the grill, and pair it with a bottle from the extensive wine cellar. Sunday brunch, with its seemingly endless seafood bar, draws people from all over the island, and runs $45 per person with drinks.
