Newspapers & Magazines

Puerto Rico's Pulitzer prize-winning San Juan Star is printed daily in Spanish and English. It carries local and syndicated columnists as well as a good mix of local and international news. In addition, you can get copies of the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, USA Today, Miami Herald, and other nationally distributed U.S. newspapers, most often at hotels and drugstores.

Radio & Television

Most local TV programs are in Spanish, and consist of the usual mix of news, game shows, movies, soaps, and music videos. Some local shows broadcast in English, but the majority of English programming comes from cable-transmitted HBO, CNN, and others.

Radio programs run the gamut of Spanish talk shows, Miami-based English news broadcasts, evangelical religious broadcasts, and music of all sorts in both English and Spanish. Radio WOSO (1030 AM) is a local English-language radio station.
