Desecheo Island

Fodor's Review:

For divers, Desecheo Island, about 20 km (13 mi) off the coast of Rincón, has abundant reef and fish life. A rocky bottom sloping to 120 feet rims the island; one formation known as Yellow Reef is distinguished by long tunnels and caverns covered with purple hydrocoral. There are other sites with plentiful fish and coral in the shallower water just off Rincón's shores.
