Fodor's Review:

The long stretch of sand at this beach off Route 101 is a favorite with islanders, especially on weekends. You'll find changing facilities, cabins, showers, restrooms, and picnic tables; it costs $3 to enter with a car.

Great Beach!!

Posted by notsoavidtraveller from Mayaguez, PR on 12/30/07

Just like the Loquillo Beach near San Juan, this beach also sports a vast area of lawns and gently swaying coconut trees in front of it. There are many picnic tables and the ocean is also very calm around this area which makes it quite popular with the locals who often visit with kids in tow during weekends. There is a fee to drive into the area. However, at times, the person sitting at the counter doesn't permit cars and one has to park on the street in front of the gate and walk into the beach area. Be careful while walking through the lawns as they tend to be infested with mosquitoes!!
