Seafood is the specialty at this restaurant perched high on a bluff overlooking the ocean. This is a great place to sample specialties such as chillo entero (fried whole red snapper). The convenient location, down the road from El Conquistador Resort, lures travelers who have had enough hotel food.

If you would like to dine in one of the oldest restaurant in Fajardo, go to Anchor's Inn. We found the food to be excellent and we were satisfied with the service. The atmosphere is laid back and you get to enjoy the dinner without being rushed. (That is why you go on vacation!!) The lobster soup was delicious and their house salad dressing is home made and spectacular. The price was very reasonable and we will continue patronizing Anchor Inn for years to come.

NOT RECOMENDED

This place is run down and has so many negatives that it is a NO-NO:
1.-When there are two or more tables taken service time goes to hell, be prepare to wait for HOURS for any plate. During our visit there were four tables taken and it was hell on earth most customer left in disgust for the time it took.
2.-I ordered a lobster soup and the flavor was fine--nothing out of ordinary-- but the lobster content on it was well how can I say it? POOR lot's of dark-meat tails of some molusc that could be anything but lobster and taste was yucky too....Price? OVER $21---rip off for just a soup...
3.-If you take your kids to this place please feed them before you go or else they would be so wasted by the time the food arrives that they would leave everything on the plate...
4.-Place is very old and run down and does not look clean...
5.-Front yard is also not a safe place for kids, I left one of mine wander around while we waited years for the food to arrive and she got bitten by red ants perrty bad...
Rather than eat in a place like this I would recommend stay at the Hotel or visit "La Pasion Por El Fogon" this last one MUCH better quality and service for lower price. Also during weekends F/Sat/Sun 11:00am--5:00pm there is a kiosk down the road 987 by the beach (just past Pasion goin away from el conquistador) where you can get Seafood Arepas and fresh fried fish at fair price and good flavor and quality!

Fantastic sauces, charming atmosphere

Jose-Maria, French cook and owner, makes a sauce forestiere which is beyond words - try it, if you only have one night in Puerto Rico try it! The waiter Pedro has a family recipe for a cilantro sauce he'll serve with the bread and salad which is, likewise, amazing. This is the place to come to for heavenly sauces. In addition, the atmosphere of the place is very charming, and the owners and staff will treat you with warm honest hospitality.

The lobster is great but more expensive than I would expect for such a small town. The prices are comparable to San Juan.
