The Centro Interpretativo Las Salinas de Cabo Rojo (Cabo Rojo Sal Flats Interpretive Center) has a small display about the salt flats and their importance to the local economy. (Remember that the name of the town comes from a battle over control of the salt flats.) The best part of the center is a massive observation tower that lets you scan the outline of Cabo Rojo itself.
