Museums / Galleries, Houses / Mansions, Jayuya
Fodor's Review:
You'll want to relax on the front porch of the charming Casa Canales, a re-creation of the home of Jayuya's first mayor, Rosario Canales. Like the original building, dating from the late 19th century, it has tiny bedrooms surrounding a central parlor. Windows on all sides can be flung open to catch the breeze. There are lots of period furnishings, such as the hand-carved wooden chairs. Even the china on the dining room table belonged to the family.
