East of Bosque Estatal de Río Abajo is Lago Dos Bocas, one of several man-made lakes near Utuado. Government-operated boats take you around the U-shaped lake from a dock, called El Embarcadero, near the intersection of Routes 123 and 146. Although the boats are used primarily as a means of public transit for residents, the 45-minute ride around the lake is pleasant and scenic, and gets you to four shoreline restaurants known for criollo cuisine and seafood. The boats are free and leave daily between 7 and 5. Trips after 3 PM are usually reserved for residents and returning passengers. The lake is stocked with sunfish, bass, and catfish; you can also fish from the shore.
