Fodor's Review:
Painted an eye-popping shade of pink, this mountainside hotel doesn't take itself too seriously. Colorful murals of the eponymous bird brighten the open and airy lobby. The accommodations are a bit more more subdued, though they continue the tropical theme. (The Dolphin Room has -- what else? -- a stuffed dolphin.) Each has a balcony where you can enjoy the view. There are two restaurants that share a similar theme -- Sloppy Joe's on the lower level serves sandwiches and other light fare, while Smilin' Joe's upstairs serves red snapper and other excellent seafood dishes. At the bar you can sample a parrot-themed concoction. The only downside: you're not on the beach.
